Latest Artwork

I have started working on the light bulb, adding colour and detail to the screw and painting a base layer on the glass. With the next part, I will paint the glowing filament that has burnt out with bright and colourful smoke to bring this painting to life and completion.

I have completed painting the hand, adding detail and dark shadows to increase the contrast of the painting. The next part to paint, which will be the focal point of the painting, is the exploded bulb.

I have started to paint the hand, adding detail and contrast to the fingers of the closed fist. I hope to have the hand completed for the next ‘Work in Progress’. More to come.

This oil painting will be called ‘Running Out of Ideas’, which was the state of mind that I was in – I couldn’t think of anything to paint. While I was waiting for that ‘bulb’ to light up upon thinking of a great idea, I thought maybe my ‘bulb’ is broke, which led to this conceptual, surrealist interpretation of how I could convey that thought from a painting.

The beginning of a new painting. This is actually the first painting I will have done in over a year as I was creating artwork photography and projections over the past 12 months.

This is my latest artwork, ‘Winged Victory of Samothrace’. A photograph looking up at the Winged Victory of Samothrace, also called the Nike of Samothrace. It is a marble structure of the Greek goddess Nike (Victory) which is prominently displayed at the Louvre, Paris.

This is my latest artwork, ‘Champs Elysees – Paris’. A black and white photograph taken from the Arc de Triomphe looking over the Avenue des Champs-Elysees, Paris. Lined with trees, cinemas, cafes and luxury shops, the Champs-Elysees is arguably the most famous street in the world.

This is my latest artwork, ‘Sunset on the Seine’. A wonderful photograph capturing the sun setting on the Seine river, Paris. The final minutes of sunshine light the sky and river blue, while the buildings reflect the golden glow of the sun.

This is my latest artwork, ‘Eiffel Tower – Paris’. A stunning perspective of the Eiffel Tower, one of the most recognisable structures in the world. The Eiffel Tower is an iron lattice tower located on the Champ de Mars in Paris, named after the engineer Gustave Eiffel, whose company designed and built the tower.

This is my latest artwork, ‘Arc de Triomphe – Paris’. A black and white photograph of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, France. It stands in the centre of the Place Charles de Gaulle (originally named Place de l’Etoile), at the western end of the Champs-Elysees.
